Snacks for 6/18 & 6/19

Titans,

Here is the snack schedule for tomorrows games. If we need to add more for Sunday I will send out an email tomorrow evening...

Game 1
6/18 2pm: JUAREZ

Game 2
6/18 6:30pm: WILSON

Game 3 (either Saturday night or Sunday)
6/18 or 6/19 TBD: KEY

Game 4 (Potential on Sunday)
6/19 TBD: SHADE

I hadn't mentioned this in the past but Liam is allergic to egg and peanut, Are there any other kids with allergies you would like me to mention? Can we please try to stay away from snacks that contain egg/peanuts? I always bring alternate snacks for Liam but it's always nice when he can have the same thing as everyone else. I realize this can be an inconvenience sometimes so thanks in advance!

Please be sure to check your email Saturday night for a snack update for Sundays' potential games...

Be Strong and Courageous!

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

I have talked with the players about doing their best and being courageous regardless of the situation or circumstance. We talked about the story of Joshua, who after taking over for Moses, was told three times by God to "be strong and courageous" and to remember that God was with him everywhere he went. What a great promise!

I told them that even though this baseball season was an exciting new journey for us and we didn't know how things would turn out that we should always be brave and remember that God is with us. Please remind your child about this promise from God and others that you like to recall in your own life. See you tonight!

God's best always,

Coach John

Titans Snack Schedule for June 2-5

Titan Parents,
I will be coordinating the snacks for each tournament. I will assign one family per game for providing the "after-game" snacks for the players. I think either water or gatorade with fruit or crackers will be fine. Please provide enough food/drinks for 12 players.
For our 1st tournament, we have 2 definite games: Thursday night and Saturday morning. If we win BOTH games, we will play again Sunday afternoon. If we win one and lose one, we will play again Saturday afternoon.
Here is the snack schedule for this weekend...
Definite Games
Thursday, June 2nd PM game: Watson
Saturday, June 4th AM game: Sampat
Possible Games (We will confirm which snack we need, after our Saturday AM game)
Saturday, June 4th PM game: Anderson
Sunday, June 5th PM game: Stopp
I will bring a sign-up sheet to the game on Saturday so we can keep track of our snack schedule. if you are unable to provide snack for your assigned game, please switch with someone else and let me know so I can adjust the schedule.
Thanks for all of your help!

Mt Paran Titans - Our Purpose

Hi everyone,

Coach Marc, Coach Drew, Coach Rakesh and I are very excited, as you are, about this upcoming All-Star season. We want the best for every player on the team. That being said, our season won't be judged by wins or loses, but what these young players learn from us not just about baseball, but about life.

We want to take the time to get to know each of the players and how we can pray for them during this season. We also will be taking time in each practice and game going forward to have a devotional time where we will share character lessons related to the game of baseball. We want to make the game fun for them and encourage them as they continue to learn more about how God would have them to live their lives.

I will post the devotion material here on this site going forward so you can use it with them at home. Also, for tonight's practice, I will give out 4x6 cards tonight at practice that we would ask them to write a prayer request on so that the coaches can pray for them.

God's best always,

Coach John

Home Runs Flying and Good Defense!

Jennie White and Liam Watson both hit home runs tonight at practice. What a good practice it was as there was good defensive play up the middle with Liam and Von learning to work together as the 6-4 tandem. Very nice work! Jennie also made some great throws into second from right field. Shivam did a nice job at first catching the ball and making strong overhand throws to 3rd base. Jack Shade and Jack Becker made some good throws and good hits tonight as well. Luke Anderson stepped in at catcher, 2nd, SS and 3B and made some strong throws and hit some hard drives to right field. Way to go Luke! Nishaan was roaming the pitcher's mound like a vacuum cleaner...nothing was getting past him and he was making strong throws to first base. Drew Stopp did a great job playing second base and third base and making good strong throws to first base. He also stayed after and got some good swings on the ball. JD Key made some good strong throws and was hitting the ball hard. Great job everyone! See you tomorrow.
