Titans First Practice!

What an exciting first time at practice for the Mighty Titans! Everyone was there in attendance for what was a good workout in the field and with the bats. The infielders took some practice on the diamond while a group of outfielders worked on catching the ball in the outfield.

In the infield, Lance Merrill made some good strong throws from 3rd to 1st to Shevam Patel who was there ready to snag the ball. Liam Watson made some good strong throws from SS to 1st base as well while working with his partner at 2nd base Von Wilson. Von was there to cover the bag at 2nd and then relay the ball onto Shevam at 1B. Luke Anderson stepped in at 2nd and made some good stops and catches. In addition, Drew Stopp jumped in at 3rd and made some good strong throws to 1B. Our pitcher was Nishawn Patel who jumped in there and made some great strong throws to 1B after stopping the ball. Luke Anderson made 3 or 4 great catches at pitcher as did Liam Watson at SS. Our catcher was Martin Juarez and he made some good catches at home plate and some good throws to 1B. He also hit one over the fence during batting practice. Our motto was "finish the play."

The outfielders all made great catches while Coach Marc was hitting them fly balls during practice. Jack Shade played left; John David Key was in LCF, Jack Becker was in RCF and Ginnie White was in RF. Each of these players made good strong throws to 2B after making their catches.

During batting practice everyone got in some good swings at the ball and were hitting the ball very hard. We worked to determine if the bats were the right size and weight, but everyone hit the ball very well.

Great job Titans! We are THE TITANS, the mighty, mighty Titans....
